We stock a range of quality student clarinets and accessories including reeds, mouthpieces. cork grease, cleaning cloths, stands, mouthguards, ligatures and beginner clarinet books.  We offer a clarinet rental scheme. The B-flat clarinet is a popular choice of instrument as it is portable and offers opportunites for playing contemporary, classical and jazz musical styles. You can play in school bands and ensembles.

What's your Budget?

First decide how much you want to spend as it will determine which route to go. If you are unsure if you will like the clarinet, then renting and trying it out first may be an option. Learning to play a clarinet which is properly aligned and made of good quality materials will be easier and more enjoyable to play. All our instruments have been chosen after consulting teachers, repairers, and players and are backed by warranties. Bear in mind there will be added costs of reeds, a music stand, cleaning kits and clarinet tutor books.

Plastic or Wood Clarinet?

Student Clarinets are generally made from ABS plastic or Resin. The plastic body is cheaper,lighter and is less prone to damage.
Although all Clarinets require regular maintenance and cleaning, plastic clarinets are more resilient to temperature and moisture changes than the wooden bodied instruments.The wood clarinets are suitable for advancing students and adults as they have a resonant warm tone.

Clarinet Accessories you will need

The clarinets we sell come with cork grease, cleaning swab and spare reed. You will need more reeds and probably a reed guard. A music stand will be useful to display the music you are playing and the teacher will request a clarinet learning book. A clarinet thumb rest cushion will make playing more comfortable. Clarinet neck straps are a good idea for instrument support. We stock all of these clarinet accessories.
