Why Stentor Violins & Cellos?

Crescendo Music has been stocking and selling them since 1990 and offers a lifetime of free service on each instrument.

Stentor violins, cellos and violas are made by hand in a workshop environment in much the same way that violins have been made in Europe for hundreds of years. Each scroll is hand carved.

Crescendo stock the Stentor 2 violin and viola as this has proven to be the favourite for the balance between economy, tone and strength.

We offer the Conservatoire full size violin which is a higher grade instrument for the advanced student.

We stock the Stentor 1 Cello outfits up to 3/4 size as their tone is beautiful and for economy we feel this is the right instrument for students.

The full size cello we stock is the Stentor 2. Realising that full size will be played for many more years than the partial sizes; the ebony fingerboard will last much longer and give many years of happy playing. We feel that the tone is as good as any new cello up to the value of $2,000.

On partial size instruments we offer a trade in against smaller instruments (originally purchased here) of approx. 50%, making the second purchase extremely affordable.
